Licensed Professional Counselor
We occasionally need to shift our perspective on ourselves and our struggles to see problems from a different point of view, and thereby modify or transform them. As an experienced psychotherapist, Anne loves to guide people in the profound and sacred journey of refocusing their lives and identifying and resolving the core issues that underlie their difficulties.
Often these core issues arise from the brain patterns that are established when we are very young or emotionally overwhelmed: they become habits that keep us from having fresh thoughts, emotions, and responses to what we are experiencing. The healing energy of bringing these issues to the surface in the context of a supportive therapeutic relationship such as Anne provides can make an enormous difference in a person’s wellbeing on every level.
Anne has been in private practice since 1991 and in Columbia Falls since 2000. She graduated with a Masters degree in Systems Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) program accredited by Bastyr University in Seattle. She counsels individuals, couples, and families on a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family-of-origin problems, communication and skill deficiencies, lack of meaning and purpose, and spiritual quests.
Anne lives on her little farm south of Columbia Falls with her husband, Robert, who is a potter; their dogs, cats, assorted chickens, turkeys and guinea fowl, and myriad wild deer, fox, and coyotes. Anne has a son, Tyler, who lives with his wife and precious baby daughter—the perfect grandchild—in British Columbia, and a step-son who is a successful actor in LA.
